Product Description

The exciting Acuter Solarus-80 is an 80mm solar telescope with a safe, permanently-mounted white light solar filter of glass construction. which is useful for many different aspects of white light solar observing, including the observation of sunspots, solar eclipses, solar surface details & the transit of inner planets across the Sun.

Features a built-in rotating filter wheel, complete with pre-installed filters to allow the Sun to be viewed in different colours. Supplied with a universal smartphone camera adaptor to take photos using your smartphone, to keep a photographic record of your observations.

The Acuter Solarus-80 conforms to and meets the transmission requirements of ISO 12312-2:2015 (Filters for the direct observation of the Sun). Always use in accordance with the instructions.

The dovetail will fit many mounts with the standard Vixen / Synta type fitting as well as a standard 1/4 inch thread for use on photo tripods.Please note the mounting bar is on the side of the tube not the base so a side mount is preferred.
