Home Mounts & Tripods Mount Accessories Altair TMS 250mm Losmandy Dovetail Plate Purple Anodized
The 250mm length Altair Losmandy-Format plate provides a stable, wide mounting surface for your telescope and accessories. Hard anodised in your choice of colour, and machined on a computer controlled milling system in the UK.Compatible with most refractors and Newtonian reflectors, including Altair, Starwave and Skywatcher.Standard M6 hole pattern - 3x holes in a row with centre to centre 30mm spacing between them. The holes accommodate both Imperial 1/4"-20 Tripod and metric M6 screws. (Ordered separately.)Compatible with Altair TMS guide scope rings with 4x matching holes.Centreline slotted holes for telescopes with centre-line mounting holes in their rings allow variable spacing for non-standard tube rings, or to get the best balance.A machined taper at the end of the plate, plus chamfered edges make insertion into the saddle easier. Fits Altair Astro refractors with tube rings, as well as Starwave, William Optics, Skywatcher Equinox and many others.Add another plate on top, and you have a mounting platform for Altair Guide Scope Rings. You can attach another telescope with normal tube rings on top of that, using the second set of metric M6 holes provided, which fit the Altair Spacer Blocks.Mounting Guide Scope Rings on the dovetail plate: Altair TMS plates accept the Altair TMS Guide Scope Rings, which can be screwed directly to either the top or the bottom of the plate by means of 4x M6 screws (included with the Guide Scope Rings.) You can choose from several holes along the length of the plate to achieve the best separation for telescopes of varying length.Altair Telescope Mounting System has been in production since 2004, and is a precision machined modular Telescope Mounting System. Our aim is to provide a simple, safe and rigid system for most types of telescope on the market, to give our customers the best possible results for astro imaging and visual observing. We use high grade 6068 T6 tempered and artificially aged aluminium, which has the highest strength to weight ratio in this alloy range, and is corrosion resistant. Note: Anodising colours may vary slightly from batch to batch, which is unavoidable.
