The Baader micro guide eyepiece is a fine quality Abbe Orthoscopic ocular at 12.5mm focal length designed for precision guiding and measuring applications with a telescope. The eyepiece features a fine laser-etched illuminated reticle for measurements with four separate scales on one reticle Some of these applications include guide deep-sky astrophotos, double star angular separation measurement, periodic error drive measurement and comet tail position angular measurement.

The sharp reticle lines render excellent definition and the variable brightness illuminator makes it easy to use even on faint stars. The lenses feature multi-layer (MC) multicoating on each glass-air surface, making reflection almost absent and even with eye relief, field scaling is still visible for long exposure tracking. Built-in diopter correction allows the observer to focus the reticle sharply.
