Standard universal base for finder mounting with SkySurfer or upgrade for original bases for mounting many other finderscope brands securely to a telescope. Engineered from one milled piece of material with two securing screws. Also fits Takahashi telescopes.
The Baader standard base is milled from solid (not cheaper casting), adjusts to virtually any tube radius and can be secured with two screws in the slots - but also with a single screw in the center - absolutely firmly attaches which is essential for finder alignment stability. An ideal replacement or upgrade to single thumbscrew original bases supplied with most telescopes.The base plate is milled sinusoidal and forms on each tube radius 130-400 mm diameter two linear runs. This provides maximum stability, two securing screws hold your finder bracket far better than models with only one, another cleverly designed high quality product from Baader.This finder base also fits on most Takahashi telescopes allowing standard finders to be used and removed easily. We can supply the correct M5 bolts for Takahashi if required.
