Excellent Beginners Telescope After doing some research, the advice was to go for the simplest set-up I could find, and also Harrison had a great reputation. This scope fitted the bill perfectly, and I was thrilled to see the crescent of Venus for the first time. Altitude nut was a bit tight - you'll need a 13mm socket. (25/05/2020) Tony - Huddersfield

Gift for a beginner Harrison’s had a good online rep & as a novice in the telescope purchasing world wanted to trust the seller & they didn’t disappoint. Quickly responded to initial questions and delivery was speedy. Set up of this telescope was super easy & whole family excited to see the moon & Venus on 1st outing! Excellent optics but poor quality control This scope delivers superb images, including easily seeing Jupiter's moons and cloud belts. Its f/8 focal ratio is a perfect compromise between the false colour produced by faster focal ratios and the unwieldiness and smaller fields of view provided by f/10 to f/12 instruments. Maker QC awful though (24/07/2018) John Rowland - York, UK
