The Celestron 9x50 Right Angle Correct Image (RACI) Illuminated Finder is a great upgrade to the stock finderscopes found on many Celestron SCT and Edge HD telescopes. The 50 mm optics produce bright, sharp images with a magnification of 9X and a wide 5 degree apparent field of view. Meanwhile, the right-angle, correct-image design keeps objects right-side up and left-to-right correct, making it easier to locate objects as well as track them as they drift through the field of view. The eyepiece module can be rotated left or right so you can find the perfect viewing angle.Illumminated Double Crosshair with FocusThe double-crosshair reticle etched in the eyepiece makes it easy to center an object, whether you are aligning your computerized telescope or finding deep-sky objects on your own. The reticle can be focused separate from the finder itself. A battery-powered illuminator lights up the crosshair with a soft, dark adapted eye friendly red glow, and the illumination can be easily adjusted by turning the rotary on/off knob.Sturdy Quck Release BracketThe Celestron 9x50 RACI Finder comes with a sturdy bracket consisting of two rings and an integrated dovetail. Adjusting the alignment of the finder is easy with the oversized thumbscrews. Excellent product and well made - Fast delivery Bought this to replace my red dot scope that my was on my Nexstar 8 SE. This is a lot more than an upgrade. It is well made and very impressed with the optics. Simple to fit on my scope with no problem at all Definitely recommend it. this is the third time I have purchased items from Harrison's. Solid kit, but no instructions. This is a well-made product with which I am very satisfied. Mounted on my Nexstar 8SE in place of the red-dot finder with no problem. The only issue, as is well known, is that there is no instruction manual. However a reasonably-experienced user should have no problem. (23/05/2020) JJ -
celestron 9x50 raci finder Good upgrade to straight thru finder, especially when finding objects at the zenith! No more more cricked neck and the right way up/correct left right view makes reading charts much easier! Eyepiece/diagonal is rotatable too, so easier to use from different angles. Excellent Good quality optics, was easy to set up on a NexStar 8SE. Although it is far superior to the red dot finder, I have kept the latter mounted alongside; it is sometimes useful for preliminary positioning,as the RACI scope has fairly high magnification. Impressed! Being unable to get my 70yr old neck in a position to find anything up high with the red dot finder supplied with my scope I found this one was within my budget. Excellent product and prompt service I purchased this finderscope to fit on my home built Newtonian telescope and I think the mounting plate could be made more versatile but ten minutes with my Black and Decker solved that problem. Great Finderscope Celestron don't include any instructions but several good tips from other users, thanks to Google, made it easy to fit the scope to my 8SE. Main focus is with the ring on the front lens and the eyepiece focuses the crosshairs. Good views so far although only in the day time and no more neck ache. (23/05/2017) Niall Reilly - Cheshire
