The Celestron Advanced VX mount and tripod sets a new standard in mid sized equatorial goto mounts and holds a maximum instrument capacity of 30 lb.The most compact and portable of Celestron’s German equatorial mounts offers the same rigidity as our larger mounts with minimal flexure and an improved industrial design. The Advanced VX provides you with many of the features found on Celestron’s most sophisticated German equatorial mounts, at an extremely affordable price. The Advanced VX mount was specifically designed to provide optimum imaging performance for small to medium size telescopes. Now your telescope can take advantage of All-Star Polar Alignment and autoguider support. You’ll be able to track through long exposures using permanently programmable periodic error correction. Image across the meridian without doing a meridian flip, so you can seamlessly image the best part of night sky. Advanced VX features significantly larger base castings than our previous design, improving stability under heavier loads. Improved motors offer more torque and can handle slight load imbalances with ease.Dual saddle plate is compatible with narrow CG-5 dovetails and wider CGE dovetail. Sturdy, well made, and feature rich The mount hasn't had first light yet, but first impressions are good. It's sturdy, and will meet all my needs (observing and getting into astrophotography). Note that a power supply isn't included. Delivery was amazingly quick, and my request for advice yielded useful hints. Highly recommended. (12/05/2020) Dave - Fife
New mount for a bit of Astrophotography Bought this an upgrade to my existing Alt/Az mount with the intention of doing some astrophotography. Ordered Saturday evening and arrived Tuesday. Good communication and updates from Harrison telescopes. Tripod and mount all look sturdy and well built. Straight forward to put together and setup. (01/11/2019) Dave - Maidstone
