The SkyMaster pro 20x80 binoculars are ideal for astronomy or long distance daytime observation, with more features than standard models such as the ability to mount a finderscope and Celestron's superb XLT optical coatings for contrast and control over reflections. SkyMaster Pro binoculars are the ideal choice for astronomers or anyone that observes at great distances. Compared to lower-priced large aperture binoculars, SkyMaster Pro uses superior optics, coatings, internal parts and housing materials. With large objective lenses, BaK-4 prisms and fully multi-coated optics utilizing Celestrons proprietary XLT coating technology, the view through a SkyMaster Pro is second to none at this price point. Large aperture observation binoculars with superior build quality and optical coatings than competing models in this price range, add to that the ability to add a red dot finderscope. An excellent choice for Astronomy or long distance observing, ready to fit to any standard photo tripod for maximum stability.Massive Objective LensesThe 80mm objective lenses have tremendous light gathering capabilities, delivering superior low light performance, even in the dimmest conditions. Choose SkyMaster Pro for use at dusk, dawn and night time astronomical viewing.Fully Multi-Coated Optics and BaK-4 PrismsEvery air-to-glass surface is multi-coated with Celestrons proprietary XLT coating technology. These coatings coupled with BaK-4 prisms increase light transmission through the optical path and deliver crisp, high contrast images with outstanding resolution.ComfortThe binocular also includes both standard and winged rubber eyecups. When lighting conditions are not ideal and there is a lot of glare or light entering from the side, switch to the winged eyecups to block this light and improve the view. Built in Tripod Adapter and RSR Reflex Sight Ready RailThe built in tripod adapter of the SkyMaster Pro 20x80 not only allows the binocular to be attached to a tripod for added stability but it also acts as a balance rail by sliding along the center support rod. A red-dot finder can also be attached to the center support rod utilizing the removable rail. When properly aligned with the binocular, the red-dot finder will allow objects to be brought into view quickly.Lightweight, Waterproof ConstructionThe polycarbonate and aluminum housing allows the binocular to be lighter weight without sacrificing its durability. The housing with protective rubber armor is extremely rugged and durable with the ability to handle tough use. The fully waterproof housing for use in all weather conditions provides peace of mind when unexpected weather rolls in. The housing is also filled with dry nitrogen gas to prevent the internal lenses from fogging when moving between extreme temperatures or when using the binocular in damp conditions.Enhanced MagnificationBring distant objects into view with 20x magnification - great for observing celestial objects in greater detail, searching for wildlife in the brush or viewing a distant object on the horizon. Wonderful birthday present Really enjoyed viewing the birds in the garden and the moon once the clouds cleared! Heavy so get a good tripod but definitely recommend these especially if you are a beginner like me as they are easy to focus and use. Great customer service and quick delivery well packed. Excellent These are great value, super views of planets, stars and messier objects, all in bright clear sharp focus. Very fast delivery, and good advice on use from Ed. I have added a bino bandit and dew shields from elsewhere, and use a horizon tripod I got here previously. (16/12/2023) PaulM - Oxfordshire
Skymaster 20x80 pro I have a pair of Celestron 12x50s which are great binocs but these Skymasters are a quantum leap ahead. I actually didn't recognise some areas of the sky because everything was just so much brighter and the number of stars had doubled! What great binocs for astronomy, what spectacular views!
