Lunt LS50THa/B400PT H-alpha Solar Telescope

Product Description

The LS50THa solar telescope offers 50 mm free aperture, 350 mm focal length with a bandwidth of <0.75 Angstrom for full H-Alpha views of the Sun. The telescope is fitted as standard with a ergonomic air-pressure tuning system the "Pressure-Tuner", the adjustable Etalon is safely installed inside the telescope. Solar detail can be easily viewed through the Lunt LS50THa and swept through frequency ranges with the hand-operated pressure tuner in order to view surface detail - granulation, sunspots and filaments, as well as solar atmospherics - flares, loops and prominences. This highly portable system is an ideal travel companion for wherever you go and will easily fit on most commercially available camera tripods, via a standard 1/4" whitworth thread. Dovetails can also be bought as an additional extra in order to mount this solar scope on Vixen/Skywatcher compatible mounts and those that take the wider Losmandy system as well.

A B400 blocking filter is installed inside the star diagonal. The B400 is really good for visual observing. For solar imaging we advise the version LS50THa/B600PT with larger blocking filter. Focusing is achieved by a smooth, non-rotating Helical focuser.

Double-stacking the Lunt LS50THa, producing a bandwidth of only <0.5 Angstrom is possible by using the additional available LS50C filter (0550210). This filter threads directly onto the front lens cell of the LS50THa telescope.
