Home Accessories Adapters & Extension Tubes Astro Essentials Parfocal Rings 1.25 Inch x3
A set of three machined aluminium Parfocalising Rings to fit cameras or eyepieces with a 1.25 nosepiece. Slip one over the nosepiece then lock it in position via it's grub screws. An Allen key is included. Useful for setting an imaging camera and eyepiece at the same focus point. You can then centre an object in the FOV using the eyepiece, swap it for the camera, tweak the focus and you're done. Similarly you can fit them to eyepieces then swop between them with minimal refocusing required. Note: These Parfocalising rings might not seat well if the nosepiece is tapered or has milled safety undercuts. 1.25" Dimensions:42.2mm outer diameter5mm thickness3x Rings and Allen key included
A set of two premium quality 1.25" parfocalising rings each one is 4mm thick for Cameras or eyepieces. Perfect for accurately setting focus distance for imaging or between eyepiece and camera swaps. Includes ball-head Allen key for easier adjustment at an angle tha straight cut keys. The rings are precision machined hard-anodised aluminium with 3x stainless grub screws for accuracy. The grub screws don't rust, unlike black steel ones, and there are three instead of one, which means the ring doesn't tilt so it's more accurate. Each ring is precision machined at a thickness of 4mm. For imaging Parfocal rings are very useful to get course focus between a 1.25" camera (like Altair GPCAM) and a 1.25" telescope eyepiece, so you can use the eyepiece to center an object and then swap with the camera to get it in the field of view. Then you can fine-focus the camera and away you go. No more hunting around for objects with camera in place. For visual observing Most eyepieces have different focal points. Parfocal rings let you swap quickly between, say a low power and high power eyepiece without having to refocus. Quick and convenient. For autoguiding Some guide scopes don't have focusers. You can use a parfocal ring to match the focus point on the camera and guide scope. Then once you are focused, you can remove the camera and replace it without having to refocus, saving time.
Brilliant This rings are very well made three screws to each ring make easy to align I used them to set the same focus on 18mm lens and my Astro camera Great job (25/08/2024) Nigel palmer - Nottinghamshire
