Special offer - Traditional Newtonian focusers have been high profile designs, with inherently limited options for astrophotography - the Revelation Superfocus 2-inch Newtonian Rack and Pinion Focuser is an entirely new, CNC-machined, ultra-low profile design which will revolutionise your Newtonian once installed. Sitting 60mm from the side of a tube at its lowest rack setting, with a 22mm focus range, this focuser has easily the lowest profile of any Newtonian design we have ever offered. There is also the added bonus of a built-in 50mm retractable extension tube, which can be adjusted to a user's needs (see lowest picture on left for depiction of this at its fullest extension).
This focuser has a buttery-smooth 1:11 dual speed focus wheel control and is incredibly strong, due to its hybrid rack and pinion arrangement - taking the best points from both the Crayford and Rack designs. The Revelation Superfocus Newtonian Rack n Pinion Focuser can support an incredible 8kg of load - more than enough for a whole range of accessories. The rack and pinion arrangement has a dedicated focus lock channel, operated by a knurled knob, ensuring your focal point stays exactly in one place.
The Revelation Superfocus Newtonian Rack n Pinion Focuser has a universal curved mounting block, which will fit to tubes of 6 to 16-inches in diameter. This mounting block has six mounting holes - 4 conventional holes separated by 55mm in the lateral and 92mm in the perpendicular and two medial rail channels of 29mm in length - ensuring there are plenty of options for mounting points for various sizes of instruments. The internal drawtube is 60mm in diameter, so will require a clearance hole slightly larger than this to fit your particular instrument Please note, due to the variable individual nature of telescope tubes, no mounting bolts or other hardware is supplied. This focuser comes with a 2-inch to 1.25-inch step down ring to ensure maximum compatibility with your eyepieces and accessories.
