Very pleased Bought as a replacement for my EQ3-2 mount. The original legs snapped due to the plastic becoming brittle where the locking screws hold the legs in place. With this tripod, hardly any plastic is used, so it should last much, much longer. It is also a lot more sturdy. Very solidly built. (20/12/2024) Tony - East Yorkshire

Fantastic Tripod AND Service Wow, what a difference this tripod makes compared to the old aluminium and plastic one that came with my skywatcher. This tripod is much more sturdy with a easy to use locking attachment that also doubles up for a place to put your eyepieces. Excellent Great upgrade to the standard EQ3-2 tripod. By comparison its heavier, stronger, the leg clamps are metal so should not break like the plastic ones, the default unextended height is a few inches higher than the old tripod and useable at that height for me and a 6 inch reflector.
