The Sky-Watcher 90 degree Polar Scope Eyepiece now makes polar aligning your mount so much easier and avoids neck strain! The eyepiece sleeve securely clamps over the standard polar scope eyepiece using three non-marring, plastic-tipped, knurled metal thumbscrews for optimum positioning. This is a far superior method of clamping compared non SkyWatcher products on the market that use only one clamping screw and more reliable than those using a brass compression ring, which can be problematic. The internal diameter of the eyepiece clamping sleeve is 30.1mm. 90 degree polar scope adaptor. This has made polar alignment so much easier. As another has said, at my age, the need to scrunch down and twist around into a position that allows me to sight through the polar scope, is just not a sensible or practical option anymore. Should have bought one years ago I thought this would make the polar scope display too dim but it doesn't. Makes aligning so much easier. Excellent service from Harrison as usual. Absolute Boon This 90 deg eyepiece worked really well in conjunction with our older Meade mount. It's the first time we have been able to truly align the pole star with ease and comfort. Build quality seems high too so would recommend without reservation. Harrison Telescopes were v. helpful with their advice too. (24/10/2021) -
SkyWatcher 90 degree polarscope eyepiece. Competitively priced. An excellent quality product. Polar alignment so much easier; I’m really glad I bought it. A minor criticism is that my mount’s end cap cannot be screwed back into place with the polarscope collar in place (the main body is detatchable). Smaller screws could solve this. Great product This makes polar alignment on my sky watcher adventurer much easier and more comfortable. The 1x/2x options is also particularly useful to achieve better accuracy. Well made product, yes pricey for what it is but it works very well and is a quality product. (28/11/2020) -
