Home Telescopes Telescopes for Beginners Beginner Telescopes under 150 pounds SkyWatcher Astrolux 76mm Telescope
This complete telescope package has 76mm optics that will show hundreds of lunar craters in addition to the rings of Saturn and polar ice caps on Mars. Brighter galaxies and nebulae are also well within the reach of this affordable Newtonian telescope. The Astrolux is supplied with two eyepieces and a Barlow lens that will provide four levels of magnification. The sturdy aluminium tripod and alt az mount give stability and ease of use yet still remaining extremely portable.SkyWatcher Deluxe Mirror CoatingsMost reflectors today usually have a coat of aluminium as the mirror surface and then an overcoat of silicon monoxide or silicon dioxide to protect it. Silicon dioxide produces a much more durable coat than silicon monoxide but requires specialized equipment to apply it and is therefore more expensive. Protection is needed, because in most reflectors, the mirror is open to the elements and deterioration of the reflective layer reduces the resolution of the telescope. ALL Sky-Watcher reflectors are Multi-Coated with Silicon Dioxide as standard for Optimum Durability and Long Term Performance. Specifications:Magnifications (with optics supplied): x28, x56, x70, x140 Highest Practical Power (Potential): x152 Diameter of Primary Mirror: 76mm Telescope Focal Length: 700mm (f/9.2) Eyepieces Supplied (1.25"): 10mm & 25mm x2 Barlow Lens 6x24 Finderscope AZ1 Alt-Azimuth Mount Aluminium Tripod with Accessory Tray
Great product and service! As the summary states, really quick and easy ordering process and the telescope is so easy to use! For a first timer so far I have located and viewed (with surprising clarity) Jupiter and Saturn! Looking forward to when Mars is next visible for us! (21/09/2020) Ciaran - Dorset
Excellent first time scope Chose this telescope to get me started in stargazing, not disappointed, have had excellent views of the moon and it's craters and also saw a satellite zipping by one night when looking around Venus. Scope is well made and packaged, easy to assemble and delivery was very quick. Highly recommend! (09/05/2020) Chris Smyth - Linwood, Scotland
