Home Mounts & Tripods Equatorial Mounts SkyWatcher EQM-35 Pro SynScan Modular Equatorial Mount
The latest version with USB and the V5 SynScan handset of the SkyWatcher EQM-35 PRO Synscan Modular Equatorial Mount offers the versatility of two specific mounts in one system. A fully computerised Go-To equatorial mount and a lightweight photo imaging mount, perfect for travel and DSLR imaging of the night sky. This innovative mount offers a superior stable imaging platform for astrophotography as a tracking mount for fast setup and lighter loads or a full goto platform for use with heavier payloads for more advanced use with SynScan goto. Two Modes in one MountIn the standard configuration mode with DEC and RA axes, you can use it as a computerised Synscan equatorial mount with Go-To and tracking in both axes with access to 42,900+ objects in the Synscan handset's database. The payload capacity for visual use is an impressive 10kg in this configuration so many options on telescope tube assemblies are open to the user.Use as a DSLR astro-photography tracking mountFor travelling you can remove the DEC Axis from the mount together with the counterweight shaft and counterweights, reducing the instrument's weight considerably. In this configuration your DSLR can be easily mounted with a Dovetail L Bracket (not supplied). Alternatively a you can use a simple 44mm dovetail plate with standard 1/4 tripod screw (not supplied) and fit your DSLR camera directly using a ball head (not supplied). With the DEC axis removed the mount only tracks in RA and you can easily take photos. Now the mount works in a similar way to the Star Adventurer mount, but heavier duty for larger lenses or telescopes. Power RequirementsSynscan mounts require 12 volts and we recommend a current of at least 2.5 Amps for trouble free performance, see related products for mains and rechargeable power options.

Improved stability and tracking accuracyThe mount head looks similar to the EQ3 PRO mount but it has many improved features and better performance. For example the mount is equipped with a large 92.5 mm diameter RA worm wheel with 180 teeth for high precision tracking (compared to 130 teeth for the EQ3). Also the strength of the base has been increased. This results in much greater stability, higher payload capacity and less vibration, essential for serious imaging. With these significant revisions the periodic error is also greatly improved. The EQM-35 Pro SynScan is a conveniently sized mount with impressive features suitable for both novice & experienced astronomers alike, for both visual and imaging use.Features Positioning Accuracy up to 1 arc minute. Well Engineered Mount A fantastic mount and a significant upgrade to the EQ3-AZ mount. Worked perfectly out of the box though the instructions are a little awkward. The polarscope is good but needs either a camera or a right-angle viewer without cricking your neck. Still don't understand how to use all the marking rings (19/04/2023) BW - Gloucester
A good mount, but flawed by sloppy quality control Initially the axis were quite stiff on the mount head, this is quite well documented amongst users. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials on how to remedy this and its not that difficult if you have a small amount of skill. Works very well once sorted. Harrison were excellent as usual! Great mount A1 delivery from Harrison Telescopes. 1st OTA and goto mount ever used. It is not easy but perseverance will pay off. Read up, watch you tube etc. It will help if this is your first goto. I have had it for 4 months and no regrets. Great for deep space and flexible for dslr mount only. (08/01/2022) Tony - Herefordshire
Excellent communications and speedy delivery I ordered my EQM-35 mount on the Saturday before Christmas and received it three days later, which I think is excellent service given the time of year. I also received timely updates between ordering and delivery. I wouldn't hesitate to order from Harrison Telescopes Ltd. again. Many thanks indeed. (27/12/2020) Ade - mid-Norfolk
