Excellent low power wide angle eyepiece for telescopes equipped with a 2 inch focuser. The 2 inch PanaView 5-element eyepieces, with their impressive high-contrast, panoramic views, are sure to be extremely popular for enthusiasts of low power, deep-sky observing. These exotic eyepiece models feature giant, oversized eye-lens elements, wide 70° fields of view, long eye-relief for spectacle wearers, and soft twist-up rubber eyecups for comfortable viewing. All models are fully broadband multi-coated, feature blackened lens edges and are parfocal. Beautifully finished in high-gloss anodized aluminium with knurled rubber grips. Threaded to accept standard 2” filters. Available in focal lengths of 26mm, 32mm & 38mm, with apparent fields of view of 70° and eye relief of 20mm, 24mm & 28mm respectively.
Perfect for my purpose I bought this, together with the 32mm from the same range and what a delight they are for exploring deep sky starfields. Perfect for the job in hand This is an excellent eyepiece with a sufficiently large apparent field for deep sky viewing. I use it with my Skymax 180 and a 0.5 focal reducer to get an eyepiece focal length of 52mm for this instrument. That allows deep sky with a 70 degree apparent field at 52X. Just what I needed.
