The SkyWatcher Skymax 127 is the ultimate take anywhere telescope, ideal if working space is limited. Despite their small dimensions they pack a powerful punch. Their High-Resolution, diffraction limited optical systems are multi-coated to maximize contrast and image sharpness. The Skymax Maksutovs come in apertures of 80mm, 90mm, 102mm and 127mm, and are available either complete with equatorial mounts and tripods, or as tube assemblies only, which can be mounted onto a standard photographic tripod. Whether your requirement is for terrestrial or astronomical use, these compact scopes are the perfect companion.Radiant Aluminum Quartz (RAQ) Mirror CoatingPrimary mirror and secondary mirror with Radiant Aluminum Quartz (RAQ) coating providing up to 94% reflectivity with optimal durability and long term performance.
This advanced version of the Skymax 127 is supplied on a full GOTO computerised equatorial mount allowing the fine optics to find and track thousands of objects after a simple alignment. The EQ3 PRO SynScan mounts use the same Go-To system found in the HEQ5 and EQ6 Pros-SynScanTM. It allows you to point the telescope at a specific object or even tour the skies at the touch of a button. Optically, all the lenses are multicoated and the internal baffles had no shiny surfaces that could cause reflections of bright objects The Focuser was quite smooth with very little image shift The field was sharp across 80 percent of the view We were pleased with the quality of the view even when pushing the telescope to higher magnifications Mars and Saturn bore high magnifications well The rings of Saturn appeared sharply defined Turning to the Moon, it was a revelation through the Skymax This telescope certainly does a good job on the more detailed Solar System objects In the deep sky, the Skymax performed well on everything to galaxies to nebulae Sky At Night MagazineSpecifications:Magnifications (with eyepieces supplied): x60 & x150 Highest Practical Power (Potential): x254 Diameter of Primary Mirror: 127mm Telescope Focal Length: 1500mm (f/11.81) Eyepieces Supplied (1.25"): 10mm & 25mm Red Dot Finder 1.25"/31.7mm Star Diagonal EQ3 PRO SynScanTM Computerised Go-To Deluxe Equatorial Mount (Requires 12 volt DC Power Supply) 42,900+ Object database containing complete Messier, NGC, and IC catalogues.
