SkyWatcher Short Dovetail Bar

Product Description

This dovetail mounting bar fits most SkyWatcher mounts along with many others using the standard Vixen / Synta dovetail system, made from sturdy aluminium with pre-drilled holes to attach to tube rings. This dovetail plate has a useful safety feature, a cut in the side profile where the screw on the mount tightens to preventing slipping. Overall length is 15cm (6") making it ideal for smaller instruments or short tube refractors.

A standard 1/4 ww tapped hole in the centre allows this plate to attach to photo type tripods, this enables smaller telescopes with rings to be used on a photo tripod for portability.

Please note due to the safety cuts this bar will not fit all mounts, for example AZ4 / Star Discovery.
